Chemistry applicants are not required to submit the application fee. The Chemistry Department will pay the fee if you are selected for admission. When submitting the online application, select "Check" for payment type but do not send a check to the university.

International Students do not need to submit bank or financial statements for their application. If you are selected for admission, we will provide proof of financial support to allow the Office of International Students and Scholars to prepare an I-20 form for your student visa application.

The Chemistry Department normally provides support in the form of teaching assistantships or fellowships for all incoming students. The TA stipends range from $22,000 to $24,000, not including tuition and medical benefits, which we also pay. Several fellowships are available that pay over $31,000. It is important to note that this support is available only for students interested in obtaining a Ph.D. degree. We do not require students to have a masters' degree prior to applying to our Ph.D. program.
